On 3rd August, the world premiere of Utopia 6 will take place at FuturePlay in Edinburgh. Showings of Utopia 6 will then run daily throughout the whole month of August.

Utopia 6 takes place 200 years from now in a world ravaged by environmental disasters and war. But 1% of the population lives in select cities spread across t

he world. And for those lucky few million, Utopia 6 awaits…

Written by playwright Jo Harper, this production explores the line between theatre and VR. Created using pacing and subtleties of a traditional theatrical drama, viewers are required to pick up on clues to piece together their own interpretation of this story about social inclusion.

FuturePlay, part of the Assembly Festival, celebrates and showcases cutting-edge creative content and ideas at the intersection of art and technology. There will be a variety of VR productions to see, including pieces by Cirque Du Soleil, Greenpeace and Ubisoft.
