CTRL TO BE FEATURED AS PART OF THE VR ARCADE AT RAINDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

On the 1st and 2nd October, Ctrl, will be featured at the VR Arcade within Raindance Film Festival.

The VR Arcade is a two- day public event that will showcase a range of VR experiences on both the Samsung Gear VR and Oculus. Tickets entitle each holder to a one-hour session in the VR Arcade, where you can try out a mix of games, experiences and films.

Raindance is Britain’s largest independent film festival and we’re very excited to have been selected as part of the showcase. With Ctrl’s mix of live action and animation driving the narrative, we feel it creates a strong bridge between traditional live action film and the 360-degree world of virtual reality.

There will be 14 pieces of content available to experience, varying from the harrowing 6x9: A Virtual Experience of Solitary Confinement, created by The Mill & The Guardian, to the child-like and inspiring Turning Forest by the BBC.

Other pieces we would recommend watching are Jane Gauntlett’s In My Shoes: Dancing With Myself and Notes On Blindness which gained praise at Sheffield Doc Fest. The VR arcade will be at the Gallery Space at the Hospital Club, near Covent Garden.

If you would like to attend, you can book tickets here

If you are unable to make it to the VR Arcade, and would like to experience Ctrl, it is available on the Oculus Store for the GearVR.
